The Integral Revitalization Plan of the colonial city of Santo Domingo aims to develop a proposal that meets two requirements: the definition of transformation rules of the patrimonial area, and the determination of a development system for this part of the city that promotes its conservation and revitalization. The Integral Revitalization Plan of the colonial city of Santo Domingo is therefore articulated in three basic control tools for transformation, urban planning and development:
- the Master Plan, aimed to identify the transformation and conservation areas and to set-up the rules;
- the Strategic Plan, that establishes the functional strategy and identifies the areas of priorities;
- the Plan Profiles.
