Housing, commercial, and office complex at via Triumplina
Project planning for the minimum unit of intervention of the Norma Plan at Via Triumplina.
Achieved
The Master plan of the city of Brescia intends to provide a transport interchange between the future underground station, and the traffic coming from the areas outside the city, at this coverging point at Via Triumplina.
The area features a sunken square placed at minus 2,60 meters that will be connected to the underground station, and a raised square, placed at 2,60 meters above the surface level. The latter is overlooked by an area of 10,000 square meters, made up of retail-shopping facilities and offices. The project is arranged along the fluid line that forms the square, flanking it with two storey-terraced buildings. The residential buildings, in two separate units of respectively 14 and 9 floors, emerge from the flat garden roofs of the office buildings. The car parks are placed on two levels under the square and buildings .
Cycle paths link the pedestrianized square to the surrounding residential areas and services.
